Freshman phenom Sadie Engelhardt of Ventura placed second in the girls Division 2 final at the Calfornia state meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. Her time of 16:58.7 places her in the top 12 girl performers of all time at Woodward Park. Sadie also became only the second freshman to eclipse the seventeen minute barrier just behind Sarah Baxters time of 16:57 back in 2010.
