Sadie Engelheart, a junior at Ventura High in California, took third in the Bob Day girls sweepstakes race by covering the 3-mile layout in 15:37.4 at the 42nd Woodbridge Cross Country Classic presented by ASICS America at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. Engelheart had achieved the fastest 3-mile cross country performance in U.S. prep history last year to prevail at Great Park in 15:42.6. She was one of four athletes to eclipse that barrier in the Bob Day girls sweepstakes race, as nine female competitors achieved sub-16 efforts.
