Sadie Engelhardt, a sophomore at Ventura High in California, won the Bob Day girls sweepstakes race at the 41st Woodbridge Cross Country Classic Presented by ASICS at Great Park in Irvine. Engelhardt produced the fastest 3-mile performance on any layout in meet history, clocking 15:42.6 to edge the 15:43.5 effort achieved last year by Mira Costa High graduate Dalia Frias at SilverLakes Sports Complex. Engelhardt helped Ventura finish 15th overall with 403 points.
